Summit H.S. Boys Hockey Improves to 5-0, Tops Montclair 4-1

ROSELLE, NJ – The Summit High School Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team scored a pair of unanswered goals in the third period to break open a close contest and went on to defeat Montclair 4-1 at the Warinanco Skating Center. Junior Greg Spitznagel scored two goals as the Maroon and White improved to 5-0 on the season.

Senior Nikita Pryymak stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced. Summit outshot the Mounties 46-26. Senior captain Spencer Myers and freshman Teddy Mallgrave also found the back of the net for The ‘Top, with senior captain Tom Pryymak, senior captain Jake Puskar, junior Kyle Graham, and freshmen Jake Lowry and Mallgrave contributing assists.

Next up for Summit is a December 20 trip to the Ice House in Hackensack to take on Bergen Catholic. The puck drops at 5:15 p.m.
