Summit girls ice hockey took time out to honor their seniors and their contributions to women’s hockey by celebrating Senior Night before their game Friday February 2nd on their home ice, Warinanco. The seniors were presented with posters made by their teammates. The senior girls presented their mothers a corsage with their number on it.
Later, the seniors were recognized and called on to the ice one by one with a spirited bio. Their parents joined them and junior players presented each senior with flowers as fans cheered them on.
This spring five seniors will graduate: Charlotte Cass #7 , Emma Wilde #8, Amanda Michaels #17, Bella D’Ambrosi #21 and Emma Cahillane #27. These five young women have and continue to set an example of sportsmanship, hard work and leadership to their teammates. Their contributions and dedication to women’s ice hockey have helped the sport to continue to grow.
