Summit H.S. Girls Ice Hockey's Caroline Sharpe First Hilltopper to Reach 100 Career Points

SUMMIT, NJ – She has averaged nearly two points in every game that she has pulled on a Maroon and White hockey sweater, and now Hilltopper junior center Caroline Sharpe has become the first Summit High School Girls Ice Hockey Team player to score 100 career points.

Sharpe notched three assists in Summit’s 5-0 win over Pingry on February 20 to reach the coveted century mark on the dot. She now has 55 goals and 45 assists in 52 games played.

The Hilltoppers are 12-6-2 on the season and recently won their first-ever Morris Union Somerset Girls Ice Hockey League regular season title. Sharpe leads the team in scoring during the 2019-20 campaign with 51 points, including 29 goals and 22 assists.

The ‘Top opens the NJSIAA Girls Ice Hockey Tournament play as the sixth seed and will face 11th-seeded Randolph February 25 at Warinanco. The puck drops at 5 p.m.
