ROSELLE, NJ – Seniors Sara Graham and Morgen Shung scored goals and classmate Julia Oppici stopped 19 of the 20 shots she faced as the Summit High School Girls Varsity Ice Hockey team rocketed past Randolph 7-1 at the Warinanco Skating Center on ‘Senior Night’.

At the game, the program honored Grace Donohue, Sara Graham, Isabel Olson, Julia Oppici, Blakely McCann, Grace Morrissey and Morgen Shung, all members of the Class of 2019.

Summit scored 39 seconds into the game through freshman Leah Rubinshteyn and, even though Randolph’s Carly Snarski tied it up nearly three minutes later, the Maroon and White was in control throughout, finishing the first period up 4-1 and never being threatened thereafter.

Rubinshteyn had a Hat Trick, giving her a remarkable 38 goals in her first Summit season. Sophomore Maisie Hiltabrand had two goals, and freshman Taylor Cornell had three assists. Other Hilltopper helpers went to Olson, Rubinshteyn, junior Emily Sharpe, Hiltabrand and Graham.

Summit concludes it season with a record of 13-6-1.
