Summit H.S. Girls Ice Hockey Opens Campaign with 6-0 Shutout of East Side

ROSELE, NJ – Freshman Elizabeth Puskar and sophomore Taylor Cornell each fired home a pair of goals, and the Summit High School Girls Varsity Hockey Team opened its 2019-20 season with a 6-0 win over East Side High School at the Warinanco Skating Center.

Junior Maisie Hiltabrand and classmate Caroline Sharpe each added a goal, and senior Lily Neilan (2) Cornell and Sharpe also notched assists.

Summit outshot East Side by an astounding 54-4 margin. Summit sophomore Maddie Busam stopped the quartet of shots she faced, while high marks go out to East Side’s Amanda Woiskyollo, who turned away 48 shots in net for the Red Raiders.

Summit (1-0) next faces Kent Place December 6 at the Amerhealth Pavilion at the Prudential Center. Face-off is set for 4 p.m.
