Summit H.S. Boys Hockey Surrenders Five Third-Period Goals, Defeated by Indian Hills 6-1

WAYNE, NJ – Locked in a 1-1 tie after two periods of play, the Summit Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team gave up five Indian Hills goals over the final 15 minutes and were soundly beaten, 6-1 ,in the opening round of the Ice Vault Tournament.

After a scoreless first period Hilltopper senior Greg Moller, assisted by junior Jake Puskar, got Summit on the board, but the final frame — normally a time in which the Maroon and White shines — was all Indian Hills.

Freshman Grant McCormack had 26 saves in the losing effort as Summit was outshot 32-27.

The Hilltoppers are back in Ice Vault Tourney action December 28, taking on Seton Hall Prep. Face-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
