Summit H.S. Boys Hockey Earns Whitewash Win Over Westfield, 4-0

ROSELLE, NJ – The Summit High School Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team scored a pair of goals in both the first and third periods and rode a 26-save performance from senior goaltender Nikita Pryymak to earn a 4-0 win over Westfield at the Warinanco Skating Center. The victory improves the Hilltoppers’ season mark to 7-3.

Freshman Jake Lowry opened the scoring and had two goals on the night, and juniors Justin Ross and Greg Spitznagel also found the back of the net. Senior captain Jake Puskar assisted on three of the Maroon and White’s four goals and, in addition to getting the shutout, Pryymak earned an assist as well.

Summit outshot the Blue Devils 29-26.

The ‘Top is back on the ice January 8 taking on Randolph at Aspen Ice in Randolph.
