RANDOLPH, NJ – He has backstopped the Summit High School Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team to back-to-back state championships and — for prolonged stretches this season — has been unbeatable.

Literally.

‘He’ is senior netminder Nikita Pryymak and, against Randolph, he was once again his miserly self, stopping all 39 shots sent his way as Summit emerged with a 0-0 tie at Aspen Ice.

Fresh off shutting out Westfield just 24 hours prior to taking on the Rams, Pryymak has five shutouts this season in 10 games played, allowing just 13 goals all season-long as the Maroon and White has built a 7-3-1 record.

Randolph goaltender Gavin Einfeldt was also impenetrable, turning aside 17 shots.

Next up for Summit is a January 11 trip to Codey Arena in West Orange to take on West Essex. Face-off is set for 7:45 p.m.
