SUMMIT, NJ – Kent Place School’s Skylar Sim scored her second goal of the game, on the power play, with under four minutes remaining in the game, and the Dragons went on to defeat the Summit High School Girls Varsity Ice Hockey Team 2-1 at the Warinaco Skating Center.

Sim scored unassisted to give KPS a 1-0 lead, but Hilltopper junior Caroline Sharpe — assisted by senior captain Emily Sharpe — scored to tie the game. Then, with 3:50 left in the third period, Elizabeth Mastrangelo set up Sim for the game-winner.

Summit outshot the Dragons 33-27 and both goaltenders delivered strong performances. Noemi Martinez stopped 32 shots for KPS while Summit freshman netminder Lily Spinner made 25 saves.
