ROSELLE, NJ – It was another whuppin’ at Warinanco.

Forty-eight hours and 15 minutes after they blasted Madison 10-2, the Summit High School Girls Ice Hockey Team overwhelmed Randolph 11-3. Junior Caroline Sharpe had a three-goal Hat Trick and chipped in two assists for a five-point night, senior captain Emily Sharpe inverted those metrics with two goals and three assists, and sophomore goaltender Maddie Busam stopped 15 shots in net to get the ‘W’.

As they did against the Dodgers — when they jumped out to an 8-1 first-period advantage, Summit built a huge lead against the Rams, leading 9-1 after two periods of play.

Senior Lily Neilan (1 goal, 1 assist), junior Maisie Hiltabrand (1G, 2A), sophomore Leah Rubinshteyn (2G), sophomore Kate Goldstein and freshman Marrin Darcy all also found the back of the net for the Maroon and White, who are now 11-5-2 on the season.

For Goldstein and Darcy, the tallies were the first of their Hilltopper careers.

Skye Gilbert (2), sophomores Caroline Wesson and Taylor Cornell and freshman Elizabeth Puskar all added helpers.

Summit next will face Trinity Hall on February 12 at Warinanco. Face-off time is set for 5 p.m.
