WAYNE, NJ – Surrendering an unHilltopper-like 51 shots on goal, the Summit High School Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team was defeated 5-1 by Ramsey at the Ice Vault. The setback was the Maroon and White’s second-consecutive defeat after opening the season with five straight wins.

Senior captain Jake Puskar — assisted by classmate and fellow captain Tom Pryymak and junior Greg Spitznagel — scored in the second period, but the Hilltoppers trailed 3-1 after two and gave up two more goals in the third. Senior Nikita Pryymak made a whopping 46 saves in the loss.

Christopher Kourgelis paced Rams with two goals and an assist, while Ramsey netminder Dane Beltramini stopped 30 shots in goal.

Summit will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Seton Hall Prep December 29 at the Ice Vault.
